The full testing of these systems is essential, however we view the tests as a simple snap shot in time, poorly installed cabling may still pass the test criteria, but as new services within buildings are connected, the cabling can begin to exhibit problems, especially when moving to faster technology’s such a Gigabit Ethernet or real time applications such as IP telephony. In short even your tested installation is only as good as the company you employ to carry out the work.
