Optech Marine
A teaming agreement with American company Ametek SCP has seen Optech Marine open a joint UK based facility for the manufacture of Sub-sea cables to support the Astute Submarine Programme.
Using techniques gained through training at Ametek SCP's Rhode Island facility in the USA, Optech Marine are providing cables equipped with water tight connectors to supply connectivity to Submarine outboard systems.
Manufactured cables are Hydro Tank tested in house at the UK facility to 1000psi.
Our trained personnel have carried out in the field of repairs of problematic cables, helping reduce the costs associated with the removal and replacement of problem cables.
Optech Marine undertake the termination and testing to MOD specifications, for various military style MFM and standard optic fibre connectors, both on surface vessels and Submarines.
