The Directors of Optech Fibres Ltd undertake to ensure so as far as is reasonably practicable the Safety, Health and Welfare of all employees at work. This undertaking also extends to customers or visitors to the company. In particular the company will provide and maintain safe plant and equipment, safe premises and safe systems of work.
The company will provide information, instruction, training and supervision in safety matters to all employees in order to achieve these objectives.
Employees will be encouraged to co-operate with the company in all safety matters to identify hazards which may exist and to report any condition which may appear dangerous or unsatisfactory and to ensure that each employee accepts his/her responsibility not to endanger him/herself or other and activity to assist in fulfilling the requirements and spirit of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Whilst the final responsibility for matters of health and safety rests with the company, all employees and visitors to the premises must clearly understand that they also have a duty, under this act, to ensure the health of themselves and others.
This includes reporting back to their Manager of any dangerous or unsatisfactory occurrences and to make suggestions for the improvement of existing facilities and arrangements.
The company safety policy is determined by the Directors who have the overall responsibility for the company’s achievement of its Health and Safety policy.

In the event of any person being absent from the premises then the person above or below him/her in the hierarchy will substitute if necessary.
